  Aileen swallowed when Tyler’s gaze turned into one of hunger; he was staring at her as if starving and she was a prime rib. She set down the plate she’d been working on. Dishes could be finished later.

  “Aileen, I haven’t been able to get you out of my head. It sucked being away all the time, not being able to see you.”

  “We texted every day,” she teased.

  “It’s not the same, and you know it.”

  Tyler leaned into her then, lightly pressing his mouth against hers, dragging his tongue across her bottom lip. Aileen couldn’t help but respond to the taste of him on her lips, parting hers and allowing his tongue to slip into her mouth. Her actions caused Tyler to groan against her mouth, pulling her hand to his chest as he clutched it harder, pressing himself closer against her body as he took the time to explore her mouth with his tongue. Aileen’s other hand moved up to press against his chest, keeping his body from crushing her against the glass door as their tongues swirled around and licked each other. Her head tilted up to meet his, causing their embrace to deepen as Aileen began to moan in unison with Tyler’s groans. The sound of them together was driving Tyler crazy; he knew they were going to keep things casual, but what he wanted from her right now stretched beyond casual into something deeper, something he couldn’t control. Aileen must have sensed the change in his body language, pulling away from his mouth to look up at him, her tongue dragging across the same bottom lip he’d been tasting minutes ago.

  “Everything okay?”

  “Yeah, everything is perfect. I just missed you.”

  “I missed you, too.”

  Aileen smiled and stood up on her tiptoes, leaving a chaste kiss on Tyler’s scruffy cheek. She dropped back down and moved herself from between him and the sink, walking backwards as she used the hand he was still clutching to pull him towards her bedroom.

  “Come with me.”

  That was all she needed to say and Tyler was moving faster than she was dragging him. He sprinted up to her and scooped her up in his arms, grinning down at her face while he walked them both to her bedroom.

  “Tyler, put me down!”

  Aileen playfully struggled against Tyler’s hold as they traveled the short distance to her bedroom. Tyler only let her feet touch the floor once his body was blocking the doorway, crossing his hands over his chest as he surveyed Aileen’s room. It still looked the same as it did the first time she had snuck him in here. His body began to overheat as the memories of the first time they were together ran through his mind.

  “Please tell me that this is the destination you had in mind when you started to pull me.”

  “Mm-hmm, that is almost exactly where I want you.” Aileen chewed on her lower lip, the memories of their first time running through her mind as well. She walked backwards until her legs connected with the side of her bed, letting her ass fall to her blankets as she continued to move backwards, placing herself in the middle of her bed. Aileen patted the empty spot beside her, rubbing the blanket enough to flatten it. Tyler took his time walking over to the bed, leaning over and crawling up until the full length of his body was stretched out along one side of her bed. Laying there on his side, he continued to gaze into her eyes, moving a hand up to brush the hair from her face and around her ear.

  “You know,” Tyler said, “this isn’t your hotel room, but for some reason I can’t help thinking about the first time that we were together. Maybe because this reminded me of it.” He gave her a hungry look. “How eager you were.”

  Aileen just nodded, letting her body snuggle down into the bed as they watched each other.

  “You were so forward about your intentions; it was such a turn-on.”

  Aileen reached up and ran her fingers through Tyler’s soft dark hair, pulling his face a hair’s distance from hers, letting her breath warm his lips as she took a deep, calming breath.

  “Then this is going to be a really big turn-on.”

  Without any other warning Aileen’s lips were locked against Tyler’s, her tongue forcing its way between his lips, resuming the kiss she had pulled away from earlier. She moaned against his mouth as her body wiggled its way to close the gap between them, pressing her chest tightly against his as her free hand wrapped around his shoulder. Aileen pulled on Tyler’s shoulder, forcing him to lay down with his back against the bed, sliding herself to straddle his lap as they continued to tongue-dance. Tyler’s hands started to roam up the sides of her body, enjoying how in control she seemed of the situation. He groaned deeply against her lips as his fingers wrapped around her sides, tugging her shirt up towards her shoulders in hopes that she would catch on to his hints.

  Aileen pulled away from his lips as soon as she felt the cotton rubbing against her back. She sat up against his lap and pulled her shirt the rest of the way off, grinning down at Tyler as she reached around and unhooked her bra. She tossed it to the side and resumed kissing him, trailing her lips down along his jaw, down to the crook of his neck, all the way to his shoulder. It was then that Tyler grew impatient. Feeling himself growing against his jeans, he moved to roll her over onto her back, hovering over her; he couldn’t help but smile.

  “Do you know how much I missed seeing your smile while I was away?”

  “Help me get these off, and I’ll show you how much I missed you…”

  Aileen started to tug on the waistband of her shorts, licking her lips as she waited for Tyler’s reaction. He reacted just the way she wanted him to. He eagerly crawled down her legs, taking her shorts and panties with him as he did so. Crawling back up her body, he left burning hot licks along her inner thigh, past her center, along her tight stomach, over her ribs, and up to her hardening nipples. Tyler swirled his tongue around one nipple, then the other, his right hand venturing south of her hips, feeling his way between her thighs. His fingers dipping inside her, Tyler let out a gasp as he felt her wetness coat his fingers. “You missed me a lot.”

  Aileen nodded, arching her back and pushing herself against his fingers. Her hips beginning to rock back and forth, teasing him with her movements. Once Aileen decided she was done teasing him, she moved her hands to each side of his hard chest, sliding her hands up underneath his shirt to massage his abs and tug up his shirt. Pulling her hips away to force him to help, Tyler leaned back and pulled his thin shirt up over his head, letting her have the full few of his well-toned chest. Her hands explored every inch of his chest, her nails lightly dragging against his skin as her hips began to push up against him.

  “You are still wearing too much clothing for what I have in mind.”

  Tyler laughed at Aileen; she was a little minx when she wanted to be, and he liked it. His hands reached down and popped open his pants. He continued to stare down at her as his hands slipped into his back pocket, pulling out a tiny foil package and bringing it up to his teeth.

  “You came expecting something?”

  “I came prepared; you’re a very bold and unpredictable girl.”

  Aileen grinned and winked at him. “Only with you.”

  Tyler smiled at that thought; he liked knowing that she was as into him as he was her. He had spent the last weeks thinking about her, every time he was away, wondering if she would still feel the same about him when they actually got some quality time together. Maybe she would decide that he wasn’t worth waiting for, and find someone who would travel with her instead of away from her. She hadn’t, and that made his mind growl with triumph. He tore open the package, using his left hand to reach into his pants and free himself, sliding the condom down along his shaft he leaned over Aileen. Tyler timed himself just right, pushing himself slowly but deeply into her center at the same time as his lips connected with hers again. He pressed his whole body tightly against her, thrusting his hips in and out as he moved his mouth back and forth against her lips, dragging his tongue down along her own.

  Aileen began to moan and gasp, her hips lifting up to meet each of his thrusts, her hands rubbing against his abs, she was trying to feel
all of him while he worked himself between her thighs. “Oh, Tyler.”

  Aileen continued her moaning as Tyler’s lips traveled from her mouth, down to her neck and shoulder, covering her with his tiny markings of saliva and tenderness.

  He could feel Aileen getting close already; she wrapped her legs tightly around his waist, digging her heels into the small of his back to push him harder against her. Her body began to clamp around him, Tyler feeling the tightness grow as he began to thrust himself harder, his chest heaving as his breath came out in short gasps. His muscles strained and beads of sweat dripped down his arms. Aileen was covered in sweat, the beads of moisture sliding down her bare chest and falling off along her sides, her breaths only heard through deep, hard moans.

  Her hands moved up to grip at Tyler’s shoulders, pulling his chest down against hers, causing their sweat and hard gasps to mix together, their sounds echoing in the room. Aileen let out a final moan that over- powered all the other noises in the room as she began pulsing and releasing around Tyler’s shaft.

  The feeling caused Tyler to groan deep from within his chest, moving his mouth back to her lips and kissing her hard, possessively. At that moment Tyler made one final thrust hard inside of her, letting go as his body shook against hers.

  Tyler collapsed on top of her, rolling off to the side once both their bodies had stopped convulsing, still desperate for air as their chests heaved high in the air, and down deep into their stomachs.

  “Wo…wow.”

  Tyler nodded at Aileen’s sudden words; he didn’t think he could speak right now. Rolling onto his side so he could look at her, his breathing starting to slow and become more even as his lifted a hand to trace the streams of sweat along her tight stomach.

  Aileen groaned and shifted against the bed, rolling only her head to the side to flash Tyler one of her smiles. Her body shivered as his fingers tickled against her lower rib cage. “So, that was unexpected.”

  “You could say that again.”

  “I hadn’t planned on letting you in, and doing…THAT.”

  “Well I’m happy it happened… I was going crazy while I was away.”

  “Me, too. It felt so good to see you again.”

  Tyler leaned forward and kissed Aileen sweetly this time, savoring the taste of her mouth for a moment before pulling away. “You’re so gorgeous.”

  Aileen blushed; she always did when Tyler complimented her like that. For some reason it always meant more coming from him. She was the one to lean in this time to kiss him, barely brushing her lips against his, pulling away with a smile.

  Tyler had to bring himself out of their perfect moment to look over at her alarm clock.

  Aileen didn’t look. She sighed instead. “Jani’ll be home soon.”

  It didn’t necessarily mean that Tyler had to leave, but they didn’t really have a habit of staying the night with each other just yet.

  “You probably want to get going.”

  “How soon?”

  “Soon enough that if we don’t want her to see you, you should leave right now.”

  “Kicking me out right after, isn’t that usually the guy’s job?”

  “Not today.”

  Aileen laughed as she sat up, dropping herself off the bed and onto the floor, gathering up her clothes and his, tossing his shirt into his face. “Time to get dressed, champion.”

  Tyler rubbed his shirt over his face and pulled it on over his head, straightening it out as he watched her pull her shirt and shorts back on. She looked good naked, but she looked amazing in her track uniform. He had always thought so. “Do I really have to go? It feels like practice just ended.” He grinned at her.

  Aileen looked at the clock. “You don’t have to. It’s not like staying the night is a crime.” She smiled at him. “But I don’t know if you want to deal with all the repercussions of that just yet. And, unfortunately, I have homework that I have to get done. And you probably do, too.”

  “Alright, I’ll go, but I don’t want to.”

  “I know, that’s what makes it worth it.” Aileen jumped into Tyler’s arms and kissed him one last time, rubbing her body against his, letting herself feel his body against hers before dropping to the floor. Kissing his cheek and stepping back, she reached out for his hand and dragged him out of her bedroom.

  Leading him to her back door, sliding it open and pushing him out onto the back porch, she smiled cheerfully. “I’m sorry I have to kick you out.”

  “Maybe one day soon, I’ll stay over.” That thought made him smile. Yeah, maybe when everything else was done they would have time for a relationship, instead of whatever they had was.

  “Sounds like a deal.”

  Tyler nodded and headed back around the house to his car, slipping into the driver’s seat and pulling out of the driveway before Jani showed up.

  Aileen ran through the house to watch Tyler pull away. She wished she’d agreed to him staying. She just wasn’t sure where they stood. When his car disappeared and she sighed, and slowly returned to her the kitchen and the abandoned dishes, finishing them up just as Jani walked in.

  “That smells amazing!” the tall Canadian girl enthused. “Please tell me there’s more of that and you’re going to share!”

  She turned wide brown eyes on Aileen, who laughed. “Yeah. There’s more of it. It’s in the crock pot. Help yourself.”

  Jani clapped her hands together and them pounced on Aileen, hugging her tight. “You’re amazing,” she said as she stepped back, moving immediately toward the crock pot. “And possibly the best housemate ever. And I will totally make you some kind of food sometime to make up for it.”

  Aileen giggled. “You don’t have to make it up to me. Just eat. Enjoy.”

  She left her roommate standing over the crock pot and went back to her room. Her books were sitting on her desk, still closed, and she stared at them, trying to motivate herself. She really should do homework. How was she supposed to concentrate on school work with the smell of Tyler and what they just did in the air?

  With a sigh, she sat down in the desk chair and pulled her chemistry book over, opening it to the chapter they were working on. Might as well at least make an attempt to be productive.

  Chapter 3

  There was an energy to meets that practice just couldn’t match, no matter how hard Aileen tried to imitate it when she was training. Something about having an audience brought out the best in her. The competitive nature inside of her exploded when she lined up with other athletes in the blocks. Even just the presence of other track events was enough to push her that little bit farther. That little bit harder. But having a full audience sitting in the stands, screaming and cheering for their favorite athletes, made her feet positively fly.

  Standing behind the blocks, she pulled her foot up to her glute, stretching out the muscles, and then repeated with the other leg. She bounced a little on the balls of her feet and shook out her hands.

  This meet was important. If she ran well, she could qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, and she had every intention of making sure she did so. She was a freshman and, man, she wanted to tear up the track. Make people look twice as she whizzed past them. She looked down the stretch of the track as the announcer made his broadcasts over the loudspeaker, his booming voice echoing in the high spaces of the indoor track. Tyler would run next, in the men’s race, and she was looking forward to watching him run, watching that gorgeous body tear down the track.

  Aileen put the images that conjured up out of her mind. She didn’t have time to pine for Tyler. She had her own race to focus on.

  The starter called them to their marks, and Aileen took her place in the blocks, crouched low. On either side, her rivals did the same.

  She steadied herself, and waited for the sound of the starting gun.

  Bang!

  Aileen threw herself into the race, her focus on the hurdles ahead.

  This was what she had been born to do. To feel the ground falling away under her fe
et as she chased the specter of victory down the track. Her breath came steady and even as her legs propelled her toward the next obstacle. She pushed off and for an instant she flew, hearing the roar of the crowd in her ears.

  They swept into the last section of the race. Out of the corner of her eye, Aileen could see one of the NYU girls right on her heels, and she stretched her legs a little longer. Pushed herself a little harder, every muscle straining.

  Across the finish line, and she took two more long strides, gradually slowing to a jog. She could hear several voices shouting her name, and she turned enough to see a small group of the other Gatica track athletes in the infield. Jani and Chrissy were jumping up and down, and Aileen waved back at them. Tyler, who was warming up for his race, looked at her across the distance between them, smiling like he was proud of her, and Aileen felt her knees go weak.

  “And there you have it, folks,” the announcer was saying. “Another win and a new meet record for Miss Aileen Nessa from the University of Gatica, last year’s Junior Nationals winner and World Junior Champion. Doesn’t she make it look easy? That finals time means that she’ll be heading to the NCAA Indoor Championships in March, so make sure you look for her there.”

  The crowd cheered again, and Aileen gave a little victory fist pump she thought they’d appreciate, her mouth stretched wide in a smile. With one last wave for the little group of Gatica athletes, she hurried to them to get a good spot to watch the finals for the men’s hurdles.

  ***

  “Are you sure this was a good idea?” Aileen asked, ducking out of the way of someone’s elbow as they moved past a group of already-drunk students cheering each other on at a beer pong table.

  “Absolutely!” Jani answered. “Trust me, Aileen, this is a party you can’t miss. And Tyler’s here, so I know you want to be.”

  She did want to be. She’d already congratulated him on his own qualification for the championships. Just like her, he’d finished his race in NCAA qualifying time, leaving the competition thoroughly in the dust.
